(ചെമ്പ്ര കൊടുമുടി) is the highest peak in (in Vythiri taluk)Wayanad, at 2,100 m (6,890 ft) above sea level.Chembra is located near the town of Meppadi and is 8 km (5 mi) south of Kalpetta. It is part of the Wayanad hill ranges in Western Ghats, adjoining the Nilgiri Hills in Tamil Nadu and Vellarimala in Kozhikode district in Kerala. It is the highest and the largest peak in Western Ghats of India in between Nilgiris and Himalayas.

ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു യാത്രയെ പറ്റി പറയുമ്പോഴും യാത്രക്ക് ‌ പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോഴും ഒരു അനിശ്ചിതത്വം മനസ്സിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു... എങ്ങനെ ഇത്രേം ആളുകളെ ഒരുമിപ്പിച്ചു....അതും ഓരോ ജില്ലാ ഗ്രൂപ്പിലും ഉള്ളവർ പോലും പരസ്പരം അറിയാത്തവർ ആവുമ്പോ വിത്യസ്ഥ ജില്ലാക്കാരെ ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂട്ടിഎല്ലാത്തിനും പുറമേ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ കളി കയ്യീന്ന് പോകുവാനുള്ള എല്ലാ ചാൻസോടെ വനിതാ വിഭാഗം കൂടി ഉണ്ടെന്ന് കേട്ടപ്പോ പക്ഷേങ്കി നിറഞ്ഞ മനസ്സോടെ, ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞ സംതൃപ്തിയോടെ പറയട്ടേ... നമ്മുടെ കോ-ഓർഡിനേറ്റേർസ് ശെരിക്കും ഞെട്ടിച്ചു‌(പേരെടുത്ത്‌ പറഞ്ഞു ആരേയും ചെറുതാക്കുന്നില്ല). ഒന്നിനൊന്നു മികച്ച പ്രകടനം. എവിടേയും ആർക്കും ഒരാശയ കുഴപ്പവും ഉണ്ടാക്കാനിടയില്ലാതെ, പരാതികൾക്കവസരം ഉണ്ടാക്കാതെ, എന്നാ ആരുടെ മേലേയും നിയന്ത്രണത്തിന്റെ ഭാരം നൽകാതെ, ശരിക്കും ഒരു ഫാമിലി ട്രിപ്പിന്റെ ആർമാദത്തോടെ ഈ ട്രിപ്പിനെ ആക്കി തീർത്ത സംഘാടന മികവിനെ എങ്ങനെ അഭിനന്ദിച്ചാലും കുറവല്ല. 

ഇന്നലെ ചെമ്പ്രയോട്‌ യാത്ര പറയുമ്പോ ഇനി എത്ര പ്രാവശ്യം ചെമ്പ്രയിൽ തിരിച്ചു വന്നാലും കിട്ടാതെ പോകുന്ന ഒരു ഉത്സവാഘോഷത്തിന്റെ കലാശക്കൊട്ട്‌ കഴിഞ്ഞ സങ്കടമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എന്നാലും ഇന്നലെ നമ്മുടെ ടീം ക്യാപ്റ്റൻസ്‌ പറഞ്ഞ പോലെ ഇതൊരു തുടക്കമാണ്‌, വരാൻ പോകുന്ന ഒരുപാടൊരുപാട്‌ യാത്രകളുടെ ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂടലിന്റെ തുടക്കം.
