Yelagiri (പ്രണയമാണ് യാത്രയോട്)

Yelagiri or Elagiri

Yelagiri is a hill station in the southeast Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Built in 1964, the hilltop Velavan Temple is a colorful Murugan temple with views of the valley below. The Jalagamparai Waterfalls crash into a swimming hole surrounded by trails and picnic spots. Nearby is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Close to artificial Punganur Lake, the Nature Park has a garden and an aquarium, with fish and tortoises.
So it was the 1st week of july, salary got credted, evryone very much excited about the trip...this trip is all about Yellagiri a small hill in Tamil Nadu..,one can drive/ride through the highly maintained highways for around 190 kms from bangalore to feel its serene beauty, We started at around 7.30 am in the morning from Bangalore and had our breakfast somewhere near electronic city out of the extreme traffic within 9.30 am ...Then we started to pace up to Yellagiri without any stoppage and finally we reached our destination by 12.30 pm  climbing up a hill by our TUV 300 and crossing about 10 sharp Hair pin bends...reaching there we decided to go to the highest view point in that area so we started our trek for around 3.5 km up...after walking for around 1.5 hours we reached the Summit and then i slept on a rock for around 10 min...took lots of pic  and after taking rest for around half an hour we started to descent and within 40 min reached bottom...it was hell of a trip and enjoyed every single and small thing that happened there on this day....
